The last British designed space rocket is in the Science Museum. Britain is the only country which has ever designed a space rocket, and has given up on the challenge.

I chose the title in honour of the effort and ingenuity – the ambition of the project.

All that science and invention from the forties and fifties, abandoned. Thank God for Sir James Dyson – his hoovers at least look like rockets.
